You may request pre-scheduled interpretation sessions for languages marked as “preschedule recommended” in the Supported Languages List. This includes extended sessions (over 1.5 hours) and sessions with specific requirements. For more details on when to preschedule and which languages are included, please visit our Supported Languages page.

Scheduling Requirements:

Standard Hours: Requests for sessions from 8 AM to 4 PM EST on weekdays should be made at least 3 business days in advance.
Outside Standard Hours: Sessions requested outside of these hours require at least 7 business days.

Requesting a pre-scheduled session does not ensure the availability of an interpreter; it is subject to confirmation based on interpreter availability.

Prescheduled Sessions at LanguageXS: Expectations,and Cancellation Policy

This document for LanguageXS outlines what to expect for prescheduled sessions. When an interpreter is confirmed for your session, you will receive an email notification both when the interpreter selection process starts and once it is completed. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. Federal Holidays. You will be billed for the full scheduled duration if the event ends early, and any additional time beyond the scheduled duration will be billed hourly.

LanguageXS offers two principal methods of interpreting: consecutive and simultaneous. Both methods are designed to overcome language and cultural barriers effectively, facilitating clear communication in various settings. Consecutive Interpreting: In this mode of interpreting, the interpreter speaks after the original speaker has paused. This delay allows the interpreter enough time to translate the speaker’s words from the source language to the target language. Consecutive interpreting is ideal for small to medium-sized meetings or dialogues where two-way communication is prevalent. This method often requires only a single interpreter.

Simultaneous Interpreting: Unlike consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting involves the interpreter translating the speaker’s words in real-time, with no pauses. This method is particularly beneficial during large conferences or events where information needs to be conveyed to the audience without delay. Simultaneous interpreting typically requires multiple interpreters to manage the continuous flow of speech and also specialized interpreting equipment.
